
Sergeant Billy Randolph, a 29-year veteran of the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) and an Air Force veteran, tragically lost his life while responding to a crash on I-35W on Monday, August 12, 2024.
At around 5:30 AM, 25-year-old De Aujalae Evans drove the wrong way up an exit ramp, bypassing barricades, and hit Sergeant Randolph. Despite the collision, Evans continued driving for over a quarter of a mile in an attempt to escape police. Upon her arrest, it was found that Evans had 10 shots of alcohol before getting behind the wheel.
